Is it true if you pull out a gray hair 2 grow back in it's place?

I'm 25 and being overrun by those annoying little gray hairs. i don't want to color my hair b/c i love the color it is now (minus the grays of course!) What should I do?Is it true if you pull out a gray hair 2 grow back in it's place?
No, of course not! What can happen is that you will cause some deformation in the hair that does grow back (and they do normally grow back), where it will be mis-shaped or it might be weaker than before. Sometimes you can actually destroy the root and the hair will never grow back.

You have all the hair follicles you will ever have when you are born. If you were to destroy some, you are just going to have less hair, that's all. Some of us need every one we have!!

You can colour your hair, or ignore them and enjoy what you have. I've seen some women, and men too, that look very attractive in their mid-30s with salt and pepper hair. They will tend to get white fairly early, most of the time, and that can look quite dramatic on a younger (relatively speaking) person.

I would use a semi-permanent colour. It only adds some colour to your hair, without making any changes to your own hair colour. That is, you cannot get lighter, but only add some of the missing colours in the white hair. They will blend in if you use a colour very close or lighter to your own, looking very much like highlights, or you can use quite a darker colour and cover them up completely. Of course, you will get those terrible white spots at the roots very soon thereafter.

The semi- colours will wash out over time since they only stain the outside of the hair, and can come off easily. There will be a faint stain that remains almost forever, so if you want to remove them completely, that is much harder to do. The only downside is that you will have to re-apply the colour fairly often since it does come off. However, you don't have to do much if you decide you don't want to bother with it any more.

If you are unsure what to do, please have a consultation with your local professional hair colourist (usually at no charge on a quieter day when they can spend time with you). Tell them what you would like, and not like, and ask for suggestions. There are many different things we can do for you, and one of them might be just what you are looking for. Ask about how to look after coloured hair, any touch-ups necessary, and how to get rid of it if you don't like it. Go home and think about it, and then decide what you are going to do. Don't jump into anything without having all the facts. Is it true if you pull out a gray hair 2 grow back in it's place?
No. Just a myth. Well...There are 3 things you can do, You can try to match your color at a Salon, and color over your hair, Or you can go to Sally's and match your color with these grey hair type color(Comes in tube..All you have to do is put it on the grey air..Can't remember what the name is.)...Or you can pull the grey hairs out.
Color it the same color it is now, or remove the hairs I guess. I don't think two will grow back in same spot, though ofcourse it's possible.
use a herbal dye kinder to hair or use semi permanant my mate has a head full of greys (no other color) shes 40 but it really looks good on her, lots of people comment and ask her were she got it done,
actually 4 or 5 grow back in it's place
I wish. Then I could at least fill in the bald spots with my gray hair.
i've heard that as well but i don't think it's true. we'll see when i get a gray hair
