Is it true that for every gray hair you pluck off your head that two will grow in its place??

What a silly myth... made me laugh out loud, seriously! I wonder how these things start up....Is it true that for every gray hair you pluck off your head that two will grow in its place??
no, its pluck 1 and 3 more grow in.... but its an old wives tale. not a lot of truth found in that old saying.

Grey Hair, White Hair, all just equal a sign of aging,,,a sign that we are not getting older, we are getting better.,,, maybe wiser.

The term Grey Hair comes from the war in France....many many years ago. It all started when a soldier';s life was saved as the bullet intended for him went through his canteen, missing anything vital. Canteen = Canitease.... Which is the techinal word for Grey .... = Can - a - tease =

Hence Gray Hair.

ANyway, I'm sure you didn't want all that info.

Good Question. Is it true that for every gray hair you pluck off your head that two will grow in its place??
nope
No. There would be no old bald men.
NO hair grows from a single root and each root grows one hair and plucking it wont make the root grow two in ones place
NO!
No. If that were the case, people who were going bald could just pull out some of their hair and wait for miraculous results.

There may be a perception that gray hair grows in more quickly and spreads after some of it is pulled out, simply because once people begin going gray, their entire head of hair goes through the change, so the natural occurrence of going gray seems to be attributed to plucking the hairs out. It's coincidence, not causal effect.
only if you are a plant or some kind of weed
hell no sweety. i dont know where you heard that one from! if you pulled out a grey hair and it was replaced buy two hairs.. then no old people would be bold! you would see every old person plucking out a grey hair!
Nope. But I've heard that too.

What happens is that once you start getting gray hairs, they start multiplying pretty fast. So, you pluck one. It grows back gray, and the one next to it starts coming in gray. And so on.

So don't pluck, or you'll wind up bald!

Reach for the henna, instead, if it really bothers you.
No, if that was true I would be completely gray by now.
No, not exactly. In time you will grow more gray, and you will notice them more after you have spotted the first one, so it may appear that way, but its not true. Pull one hair, and another gray one will grow there, not two.
