I bought a hair dye and coloured at home. It's a normal hair dye. But the thing is, it changed the colour of all the black hair to copper , but the white hairs remain white. How to cover these up.
Any advise ?How do I dye / cover up the gray hair?
To cover resistant gray, you need to leave the color on longer.
Always snip a swatch of hair from the grayest area, and mix up the teaspoon of color for the color preview and allergy test. Time the color on the swatch of hair so you know how long to leave it on your head so it has covered the gray. And the allergy test is very important, as you can develop allergies to some of these products without warning.
Did you choose a copper color? If you didn't, and chose a dark brown or black, then I'm sure you didn't leave it on long enough. The peroxide lifts your natural color first, before depositing the dye.
If your hair is naturally black, black is one of the most effective hair dyes, and it doesn't fade, from my experience, as lighter colors can. But you do need to leave it on long enough.
Wait a week or so, and try again with another box, I'd say. Good luck! How do I dye / cover up the gray hair?
Quite strange. Check the box to see if it might be a chemical reaction. (Also, another non-natural color will not really work for you. Get your natural color)
I would go to the salon to get my hair dyed. they know what they're doing, and will probably help.
Hope i helped!
It sounds like you bought the wrong color try and buy a color that is the same as your natural color, remember that grey hair has no pigment
