When did you notice your first gray hair?

I lucked out with this! I'm 47, and about two years ago noticed the first one. Of course I pulled it out! My hair is shoulder length, light brown, so it's noticeable. Now on one of my temples I have four or five of them, very light actually - they could pass for blonde, and I'm leaving them.


My mom didn't start greying til she was well into her 50s; her hair was medium brown.


Interesting, though, I have three older sisters, the oldest didn't grey til 40s, and let it go - doesn't dye it. Now that she's 60, it's a pretty white, actually.


Next two oldest sisters, 10 and 3 years older than me, started getting grey hairs in their 20s, and have been dying their hair for decades!


Two brothers - both started greying in their late 20s.


(sorry, long answer to short question... but I thought the genetics were interesting).When did you notice your first gray hair?
It was this year. I got one grey hair but I thought it was a platinum blonde piece. I pulled it out immediately.





When I was at Fry's Electronics' bathroom waiting for my bf to get off of work, I saw coworkers of his pick out 3 grey hairs of eachothers. They were about 19/20.
when i was 10. i had a huge cut on my head from climbing a huge tree and a branch just dug through my head (gross I know) and so i got stitches and after that the hair around it turned white/gray and inless you cut it, it will stay like that. the hair was dead
oh i did not notice it yet..


but my cousin noticed his first gray hair when he was 21



my husband was 18 when i started seeing them on him.
