How soon after you get your first gray hair(s) do the other ones follow?

I'm a 29 year old female and i'm seeing gray. How soon after you get your first gray hair(s) do the other ones follow?
It's different for everyone, the best way is to ask your parents, older relatives when they went gray - you have their genes after all. Some go gray very quickly and young - a friend started to get grays at 20! Some just get gray streaks. How soon after you get your first gray hair(s) do the other ones follow?
Those with very dark brunette or black colored hair appear to start the graying process much younger than folks with lighter colors. It's not that they actually gray any younger or faster so much as it's simply more noticeable next to darker colors.

And generally once you think you've just found your ';first'; gray hair, it's only the first one you noticed. If you look closer into the top, back and sides...underneath the surface hair and up at the roots you most likely have hundreds already.

Once the graying process starts it just rolls along exponentially day by day. It will appear as though it is happening very rapidly for dark hair. Again because you can see it better.

Hair dye is the single one thing short of plastic surgury to take ten years off any woman's appearance.

I knew a gal who, when she found her first grays went right out and had her entire hair silver streaked with a salt %26amp; pepper effect. It was very becoming. She did it so long she never really knew when she actually went completely gray.

If chemical dyes don't appeal to you, why not try henna? It is completely natural and also deep conditions for body, softness and shine. Any beauty supply carries henna dyes in a wide variety of colors : black, silver, browns, many many shades of red, blond and even clear. No color to the clear, just all the good conditioning effects.

I myself had light red/red blond hair. By 50, besides the salt %26amp; peppering effect I also had this really wicked but very cool looking gray streak. It grew from the crown, and more on the left of my head. About an inch wide and it was solid silver from root to tip. I just loved it.

I was talked into coloring my hair back to the dark red of my youth. I've never regretted a hair decision so much! Now I have to color my hair all the time and my way cool silver streak is gone!

Personally I think a touch of gray is a classy, sexy look.

My advise is...either learn to love your hair just the way it is or give-in to color treatments. Either way your are you and you are beautiful. Anyone who would think less of you gray is undeserving of your time %26amp; attention.

Peace.
