Is it true that dyeing your gray hair causes more gray hair?

for example if you have three gray hairs and you decide to dye all of your hair that would cause more to come out?Is it true that dyeing your gray hair causes more gray hair?
Absolutely untrue, the chemicals in hair dye have no effect on the melanin production of your hair follicles, no connection whatsoever!.

EDIT I can't believe how stupid some people are, they simply cannot read..Is it true that dyeing your gray hair causes more gray hair?
No, I'm a hairstylist and know that is absolutely incorrect. Grey hair is genetic, and can appear faster by stress. Color is to cover it up. However, if someone with dark hair has greys to cover it might seem like they have more greys when it starts to grow out because of the color contrast.
Nope! That's a myth. If you notice more grays growing back after it is dyed, then that's just because those would have been growing in anyway, regardless of whether you dyed your hair or not.

But stressing does not help with grays, so don't worry over it.
No but trying to cover the gray with dying is very harsh on the hair .I woud suggest a cover up hair mascara in between dying .Just so it is not done so often.
No, hair is dead protein

Nothing you do can change or influence what it does

Just like we cant make it grow faster, or pink or curly etc
obviously, because then they'd all be gray- duh!
